- Helped lead Team Mexico to a 10th-place finish in the 2019 FIVB U20 World Championships as just a 17-year old
- Also competed in the 2019 FIVB U18 World Championships in Egypt
- Prepped at Cervantes Loma Bonita in Guadalajara for head coach Alejandro Parra
- Played volleyball as well as soccer in high school
- Helped lead her team to a national championship as a senior

- Born Feb. 6, 2002 to Medgar Maldonado and Mireille Diaz in Guadalajara, Mexico
- Has an older sister (Daniela) and a younger brother (Leonardo)
- In her free time, enjoys watching movies, listening to music and spending time with family and friends
- Chose Arizona “because I like the way they support their athletes and because of the way the city revolves around the university.”
