Brazil won their 18th South American Championship title in the second confrontation of the day, Saturday. The Brazilians beat Venezuela in three sets in 1 hour's and 18 minutes. With Argentina 's victory over Peru , Brazil is guaranteed a place at the FIVB World Championships in Italy. The top scorer of the match was Fernanda Garay with 13 points, followed by the Venezuelan Maria Jose Perez who scored 12 points. "We played more relaxed," said Maria Jose Perez of Venezuela. "Playing against Brazil is always an honor to have very good players and are games that we learn and we also used as preparation for World Pre."
