In the last day in Macau China won with Netherlands 3:1. China and the Netherlands impressively started, not allowing each other get some breathing space until late in the set. In second set game was equal to second technical timeout and later Dutchies took control. Last two sets were dominated by China. Rising star is Ting Zhu, this time she scored 32 points in 4 sets and was decisive player in this game. China coach Lang Ping: “This match was the toughest match for us in the Macau leg of the tournament as both teams played a very high level of volleyball. There were ups and downs in our performance today; we were not quick enough in recomposing our defence against our opponent’s counterattacks. In the upcoming stages of the tournament, against even stronger teams, we have to improve in many areas, especially in the coordination of players. Nevertheless, I want to congratulate the players, for the perseverance they showed and for winning the game. In the next round, we plan to examine a different team formation and to bring back some of the more familiar players such as Hui Ruoqi, Yin Na, Zeng Chunlei, Shan Danna to the line-up so all the players can have an opportunity to train and compete in the tournament.”
