Daan van Haarlem in season 2016/17

Daan van Haarlem made his debut for the national team in 2012, in a friendly match against Australia. The 1.98m long setter has played 41 times in the orange tricot so far. In 2016 he was the starting setter in the squad of coach Gido Vermeulen. With Van Haarlem as playmaker The Netherlands qualified for the European Championship 2017 in Poland. In the 2016/17 season, Van Haarlem played in the Czech Republic for Vase Kladno. He started his volleyball career in 1999 at Orion Doetinchem.
