Do you have to be famous to play pro volleyball? w/Meg Wolowicz

"Pro volleyball" is such a broad term. You might think of Vakifbank in Turkey, or Novara in Italy, or even Cannes in France. But its really not only big teams and big name players. There is a vast spectrum of talent, money and level in the world of professional volleyball. And the point of The Volley Bubble is to introduce you to all of it.

So today, I sat down with Meg Wolowicz, a small town Wisconsin girl, who played at Northern Illinois University, a D1 school in the MAC West conference and now in Cheseaux, Switzerland. She followed her dream of going pro despite not coming from a big name school, without a big reputation or lots of volleyball accolades in college. She is a testament that hardwork and determination are the most important part of this journey, having overcome 2 shoulder surgeries to get here.

She, like me, loves the lifestyle, freedom and travel that this job allows us, and is still thankful for every opportunity that comes her way. I hope you enjoy our conversation. And if you are a college player wanting to go pro, just do it.
