Japan vs Brazil 3-1: the defeat you don't expect

Japan always drives ahead and winIshikawas the first set thanks to the excellent insertion of Ishikawa who replaces Koga, injured and thanks to the attacks of Inoue and Hayashi.

 Brazil struggles to chase and only Gabi and Priscilla play up to it. In the second set there is a collapse, the Japanese run away and the Brazilians seem unable to react. The cameras frame Zé Roberto, at times very angry, at times resigned because he tried them all: he changed the dribble, he changed a central, he even tried 3 of them, in the first set replacing Kisy with Lorenne, in the second set replacing her with Rosamaria but without results. In the third set Kisy changes again with Tainara and the move turns out to be spot on, along with the entrance to the central Lorraine. The two young women give a boost of energy to a now resigned team and Brazil reacts, clearly winning the partial. Brazil also started the fourth set strong but this time Japan resisted, replying blow by blow. Slowly the Tainara effect fades, the girl shoots a ball out, commits an invasion and suffers a wall to one. Japan draws at 14, overtakes and greets.

 Best in the field in Japan Ishikawa (174 cm), Hayashi (173 cm) and Inoue who in the group looks like a colossus but is 178 cm. This is to say that while in volleyball the recurring technical idea is that of having increasingly taller players, Japan has defeated one of the most physical teams in the world with players who seem to come from the past.
