McIntosh Name EIVA Defensive Player of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Bolstering the back row for the Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team last week was senior libero Timothy McIntosh. He was recognized for his efforts in four matches with EIVA Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office.

It's the first award of the year for the Miami, Fla. native, but the second of his career. St. Francis' Joshua Blair earned Offensive Player of the Week.

In four matches, McIntosh tallied 35 digs, averaging 2.5 digs per set. In the doubleheader against St. Francis Brooklyn, he had six digs in the opening contest and eight in the nightcap. On Friday versus St. Francis, McIntosh posted 16 digs and added five in the regular-season finale.
