Eurovolley Round of 16, Sweden upset Bulgaria in a 5 set win. Germany out of medal contention.

Sweden after their last appearance in 1983 in then Eastern Germany has made it into quarterfinals after beating Bulgaria in a tight 5 set game. Sweden started the game really slow, losing to Bulgaria 25 to 12. But Sweden determined to take on the other two sets. Bulgaria came back in fourth set and crushes Sweden in 25 to 14. At last, Sweden held their ground in the 5 set and took the game 17-to 19 and won the fifth set. Isabelle Haak the highest score of the match scoring 26 points, 23 attack at 21% efficient with 2 ace and 1 block. Although Bulgaria had less error 26 vs 31, more efficient attack and better ball distribution, Sweden played a very well game against Bulgaria.

Netherlands beat Germany in 3 set to 1. Netherland hitting 32.9% efficiency verse 27.4 % efficiency for Germany. Also, Netherlands making more block 9 verse 5 blocks against Germany. The best scorer is Anne Buijs, hitting 54.3 efficient with only 1 blocked.
