Spiridonov is really short fused, quite immature, but I think the last drop was when Alekno found him drunk last year and said goodbye. Too bad for him, the guy is a good player. There are several funny stories involving Spiridonov. Some of his interviews are hilarious.
Michal, I think you don’t remember very well that play in Beijing. The set by Zagumny was so obvious that Bovolenta barely moved. Also, it was too low. Pay attention how Winiarski had to hit, there was no angle. Zagumny really made things easier for the Italians. It’s funny because almost every Polish fan I talked to that day blamed Winiarski and Kadziewicz (remember the joust in the previous play?) for the defeat. BTW, can’t forget Valerio Vermiglio teasing some crying Poles after the match – bad boy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhQ5Pz_Fkuk
I agree with you about Kurek, his mental weakness is annoying. How can you be a top class player when you fail in crucial moments? Anyway, Michal, you're a bit cruel to Kurkofans. :-p
Zyta, Falasca lost five drzyzgas with his poor betting… Hey, suddenly you are Polish. Aren’t you British anymore?
Wrist is not important in this kind of spikes, it is helpfull when turning the ball left or right or attacking from high or low balls. The arm swing is important and as we can see Samica's arm is very flexible ;) And I don't agree, warm-up hits are very pleasing to watch. Of course it's not the measure of players value on court.
Hey, don't underestimate Falasca, he put his 5 drzyzgas in Kurek's poor efficiency in 5th set. He sent Kurek on pipe just like Guma sent Winiarski in Pekin.
I have to disagree. Zagumny left Winiarski with only Bovolenta's wrists over (or even below) the net. Nevertheless Kurek proves once again he's just a hammer with his head boiling and pants getting wet in every important game. As long as he keeps that habit comparing him to world class spikers is being pointless. Let the fact he scored 4 points more for Kazan than for Skra speak for itself. Hopefully he can still practice his uber warm-up spikes, the hot teens won't be disappointed in any way, as he still remains the best.

Mozdzonek usually against stronger teams shows nothing special, nothing new with that. Skra is the only club who can buy good player to become stronger on particular position... to keep him then out of match squad. And when I read then article in one of the biggest sport newspapers that Kooistra is loosing rivarly with three Poles, especially Klos, because of lack of technique... *harakiri*
Bartosz Kurek traditionally not stand the pressure at the decisive moment. Most his attacks on the block.

Well, if Nawrocki leave Kooistra in the stands and leaves useless Mozdzonek the whole match that Skra Belchatow could not win the match.

Yes. Skra had an easier route to the finals. Zenit played in the semifinals a lot better than in the final. But the finale was too high level. The awards were incomprehensible. Apalikov deserved the MVP. Award for Obmochayev unfair. Zatorski played a splendid match!.
I knew that in the 5 set to win Zenit. Bartosz Kurek traditionally not stand the pressure at the decisive moment. Most his attacks on the block. Well, if Nawrocki leave Kooistra in the stands and leaves useless Mozdzonek the whole match that Skra Belchatow could not win the match. Nawrocki should learn the art of coaching Alekno.
Good one about Kurek, Roninho! You know a player that sends the crowd into a frenzy during a warm-up? Simon. He knows that everybody loves the way he hits the ball, so he makes a special performance – Simon is spectacular before and during the match, a showman.
ChL final four? Roninho, I think it’s very poor the Polish federation giving Skra an easy ride, putting them to play Arkas in the semis, when the anticipated final was Zenit vs. Trentino. The final match was kinda funny, with Zenit playing badly, but still managing to win. That award to Wlazly was a big joke. Once again the refs messed up the party, but Zenit deserved the title anyway – I was rooting for them in both matches.
If I’m not mistaken, JRios stopped writing here before Christmas.
Of course, it is nice to look at these attacks, but I do not admire. This is just a warm-up.If I would evaluate the players after the warm-up Bartosz Kurek it would be my idol. JRios left on this forum?
HCLT - what do you think about the Final Four? Do you agree with individual awards?
Sakuraba, don’t disappoint me. How can you be mesmerized by a warm-up hit? It reminds me of our friend JRios, a nice guy that left this forum because he couldn't stand the excessive nonsense comments – he used to make fun of warm-up clips. Warm-up, Saku! If I see you writing things like that again I’ll put you back in the Polaco kids group. So glad my friend Roninho never disappoints me…
Did you forget? I'm a Dutch Princess.

Grankin smile after both were given a red card was priceless.

Sakuraba, you’re funny! Oh, you’re wrong again. ;-)

I have to completely agree.
