❤ In 2021 Italy won again the European title after a break of 16 years. The last time Italy became European champion was in 2005 when they won the European Championship on home soil in Rome. They triumphed also two years before that (2003) in Berlin, Germany. In-between they also reached the Olympic Final in Athens, 2004.The leading powers of this team were the head coach Gian Paolo Montali, Alessandro Fei, Andrea Sartoretti, Valerio Vermiglio, Matej Černič, Samuele Papi, Luigi Mastrangelo and many other great players. ??
