Maxim Mikhaylov steered Russia’s 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 25-20) triumph over Argentina in the first round of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup at the Hamamatsu Arena on Saturday. Mikhaylov led Russian scorers with 19 points, including 15 kills, one block and three service aces. Dmitriy Muserskiy contributed 16 more points for Russia. The opposing side was led by Facundo Conte, who finished with 27 markers. "We expected it might be a difficult and tough match against Argentina, so to have a victory over such a good team really makes me happy" said by Russia coach Vladimir Alekno.
