Russia started their World Grand Prix Finals on a positive note by defeating Italy 3:0 as Nataliya Goncharova scored a match-high 28 points Wednesday at the CenturyLink Center Omaha in Nebraska. Goncharova tallied 27 attack winners on 49 swings with a block in the victory. Yana Shcherban totaled 11 points for Russia. Italy was led by Valentina Diouf's 17 points, while INdre Sorokaite and Cristina Chirichella contributed 10 points. "It was a bit a bit tough for our team, but we performed pretty well." said Russia Coach Yury Marichev.
