Japan - Italy (short cut)

Italy won a dramatic game 3:2 (25:15, 23:25, 25:27, 26:24, 15:12) over Japan coming from a set behind to take victory in front of a vocal Japanese crowd in Saitama with Lucia Bosetti hitting 19 points for the European side, whilst Sarina Koga hits 28 points for Japan. Italy coach Marco Bonitta said: "We won the first set easily. The rest of the match was full of strength, heart and pride which led us to the victory. Koga is a young player but has good technical skills. In the future she will be great. Miyabe changed the match. I think Japan has found a great player."
