World champions the United States came from one set down to beat the hosts Japan 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-10) here Saturday evening for their eighth win at the 2015 FIVB Women’s World Cup. Nicole Fawcett came from the bench to lead the American scoring with 20 points from 13 kills, five blocks and two aces. The United States enjoyed a balanced offense with Jordan Larson-Burbach, Foluke Akinradewo, Tetori Dixon and Kelsey Robinson also in double scoring digits.The Americans also had an upper hand in blocking as they reaped 16 stuffs, compared with five for Japan, on way to their eighth victory in ten matches. Miyu Nagaoka converted 20 of her 41 spiking attempts to record game-high 22 points, but her efforts were not enough to save the hosts from their third loss in ten matches.
