In 2003, a teenager Bruno Rezende, then at 17 yo an unkwown setter of Campinas, had played one of his first decisions ever – the first match of the Paulista Championship U19 finals (Clube Fonte/Campinas versus Banespa).
The TV coverage also focused on the fact that Bruno's father, Brazilian NT coach Bernardo Rezende, and his mother Vera Mossa, a former Brazilian Olympic wing-spiker (Moscow '80, Los Angeles '84 and Seoul '88), attended to their son's match.
