2022-23 V.LEAGUE DIVISION2 WOMEN - Tournament guidelines

1. Conference name

"2022-23 V.LEAGUE DIVISION2 WOMEN", abbreviated as "V2 Women"

2. Purpose

This league is formed with the aim of fostering young players who will lead the future of V.LEAGUE

3. Event period

V・Regular Round: Saturday, October 29, 2022 to Sunday, March 5, 2023

V・Final Stage: March 25 (Sat)-26 (Sun), 2023

4. Participating teams (11 teams in total)

    5. Competitive methods
  • V-Regular rounds will be held by 11 teams in a round robin format
  • The top 3 teams in the V-Regular Round advance to the V-Final Stage. The 2nd and 3rd place teams of the V-Regular Round will play the final 3, and the winner will play the final against the winning team of the V-Regular Round
  • The top 2 teams of the V-final stage will advance to the “V-Challenge Match ~2022-23 V.LEAGUE DIVISION1 WOMEN Qualification Round”. (It will be determined separately if either of the top two teams is not granted an S1 license.)
  • All games will be played in 5 set matches

6. Ranking method

V. Regular Round

  1. In the V. Regular Round ranking, the team with the most wins will be ranked high. If the number of wins of two or more teams is lined up, the team with the highest points, the team with the highest set rate if the points are lined up, and the team with the highest score rate if the set rates are the same are ranked high. If the scoring rate is also the same, the teams concerned will be calculated and the top team will be decided in the order of the number of wins, points, set rate, and scoring rate
  2. Points will be awarded as follows:
  • 3 points: "3-0" or "3-1" victory, 2 points: "3-2" victory, 1 point: "2-3" defeat
  • 0 points: Lost in "0-3" or "1-3"

* If you abstain or lose the game for some reason, you will be considered to have lost the game 0-25, 0-25, 0-25

 

V・Final Stage

  1. The final 3 and final will be a single match format, and the ranking will be determined by the number of wins

*If a team abstains or loses by default for any reason, it will be considered as a 0-25, 0-25, 0-25 loss

2022-23 V.LEAGUE Challenge Match 

V1/V2 Exchange Match (Women) 

  1. Tournament name: V-Challenge Match ~2023-24 V.LEAGUE DIVISION1 WOMEN Qualifying Match
  2. Period: Saturday, April 8, 2023 to Sunday, April 9, 2023
  3. Location: Niigata Prefecture
  4. Participating teams: V1 11th place team and V2 2nd place team, V1 12th place team and V2 1st place team
    • If the V2 team does not meet the 2023-24 V.LEAGUE S1 license, the V challenge match will not be held
    • When only the 2nd place team in V2 has been judged to be granted an S1 license The lowest team in V1 × 2nd place team in V2
    • When only the V2 1st place team has been judged to be granted an S1 license V1 lowest team × V2 1st place team
  5. Competition method:
    • All matches will be 5 set matches
    • Fight in a two-game format, and the top team wins
  6. Ranking method:
    • The team with the most wins will be ranked higher. If two teams have the same number of wins, the team with the higher point score will be ranked higher
    • Points will be awarded as follows:
      • 3 points:  3-0 or 3-1 win, 2 points: 3-2 win, 1 point: 2-3 loss, 0 points: 0-3 Or "1-3" defeat
      • If a team abstains or loses by default for any reason, it will be considered as a 0-25, 0-25, 0-25 loss. In the event of a tie, the V.LEAGUE DIVISION 1 team will be declared the winner

Remarks:

  • If one of the top two teams in the V2 league fails to issue an S1 license, or if a team in the V1 league decides not to issue an S1 license, the holding of the V challenge match will be determined separately
  • Adopt a challenge system using video

Holding guidelines (common to all DIVISION) 

  1. Organizer: Japan Volleyball League Organization
  2. Co-sponsored by: Japan Volleyball Association
  3. Supervisor: Home Team or Venue Volleyball Association
  4. Competition rules: 
    According to the Japan Volleyball Association 6-person competition rules
    • However, if there are any regulations set by the V League Organization or notifications and arrangements for 2022-23 V.LEAGUE, they will take precedence.
  5. Match ball: Mikasa color ball (V200W: Test ball No. 5, artificial leather)
  6. Commendation:
    • The selection and method of awards are based on the "V League Organization Award Regulations"
    • Awards will be given to athletes who meet the special award criteria at the end of the season.
    • The details of the award method will be devised by the V League Organization and notified to the tournament executive committee
  7. The tournament name will be written as "2022-23 V.LEAGUE".
