Italy overwhelmed Serbia with a crushing 3-0 (25-14; 25-22; 25-18) in the last friendly before the Women's Volleyball World Cup. in the remake of the final of the last world championship and the continental one. Italy repeated their 3-1 victory against Poland, but at the beginning they lost against Turkey who in fact won the pre-World Cup in Naples. This time, the team turned like clockwork in all departments and in attack as many as three players went in double figures: the opposite Paola Egonu (15 points), the spiker Caterina Bosetti (13) and the central Anna Danesi (12) ). The champion Tijana Boskovic, author of 12 points, was not enough for the Serbs. The Italians who have won the European Championships and the VNL, when when they manage to express their potential, they are (in my opinion) the strongest team in the world and can aspire to gold, but they must avoid the black-out moments that a times, inexplicably, they swallow the team, as against Turkey.
