Yimei is a main attacker for the Chinese women's volleyball team. She played her first match for China in 2005 and has represented the national side in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games, where she was the second highest scorer just behind the American player Logam Tom and China won the bronze medal and also represented in the London 2012 Olympic Games
