Serbia - Turkey (short cut)

Serbia needed four matches in the prestigious competition to reach premiere win as it defeated Turkey by 3:1 (25:18, 21:25, 25:14, 27:25) in their Group F (Group 1) clash in Kaliningrad. Turkey looked to hit back after trailing 2:1 in sets, but Serbia edged a tight fourth set, winning it 27:25 and taking the match. Serbian team was led by Brankica Mihajlović (23 points) and Milena Rašić (17). Polen Uslupehlivan scored 15 and Kubra Akman 11 points in Turkey who remained winless in the tournament.
