I believe that not just in Volleyball, but almost all sports during the Cold War was taken as a chance to put the political issues in conflict. All that speech with "we are the Good guys, and they are the bad ones", praticed by BOTH sides are brainwashing. Fortunatelly, that time has been left in the past
