No. 1 nationally ranked Park University volleyball team kept its perfect record in tact on Wednesday night, as they defeated 3-0 NCAA Division II Newman University in straight sets, (25-14, 25-16, 25-13)*, capturing their 39th-straight set victory.
The Pirates improved to 13-0 on the season, while the Jets fall to 1-12 overall in 2018.
Park hit .314 on the evening as a team and reigning NAIA All-American Nada Meawad put together another stellar night with 15 kills out of 33 Swings to lead the team and added eight digs, 3 Block Assists and 1 Ace.
Noura Meawad had 9 Kills out 21 Swings , 8 Digs ,2 Service Aces and 1 Block Assist.
The Pirate defense held Newman to just 24 total kills, as Park doubled that effort with 48 kills themselves and the Jets hit just .056 as a squad on the night.
