Wow, nice to hear Zyta. Will Pujol be back when he recovers? I haven't payed much attention to Sisley, but do you think Marcelinho will be on the starting lineup anytime soon?

I got it from a friend. You guys may know him from around here, but I won't mention who, you'll have to guess.

hey it wasn't the best match played by Poland, but i figured you guys would like to see some young players. I have lots of old matches that I haven't even watched yet, maybe if I have time I can upload more that were recorded from vcr and the old side-out scoring, where matches could last 4 hours.
Ok I'll try to post something in the next few days, probably just a short cut of the game.
Hey guys, so are there any updates on the coaching situation? I saw a Polish site saying they were considering Glenn Hoag.. do you know if there is plans to make him a real offer?
what on earth do you mean by, "it was planned"? You mean the passer told Nascimento to serve hard so that he could cleverly make a bad pass, so that the setter could bump set a quick behind his head? If you look closely, the setter took a very quick glance back towards his middle and saw that he was running, and being up 7-2 or whatever it was, decided to take a little risk.
hmm, who wants to see Zagumny playing when he was 19? I have a match of him, I could upload some clips soon.

1:13. This is how you should put players facial expressions into movies.
That's amazing :)
Hey random question.

Does anyone know when or if FIVB will post the technical video's from the 2010 World Championships? I assumed they would, since they did with the 2006 WC, and other important events.

A couple weeks ago I watched a Japanese team (Budo University) play in a university tournament here in Canada, if you pretend for a second that blocking is not part of defense, then their defense was far better than any other professional team i've ever seen (except for those from Japan, Korea, or China). This doesn't actually have much to do with this video though.. I just figured it was a good time to mention it. The national teams of China, Japan, and S. Korea don't fully play the traditional style any more, they need to adapt in order to compete, unfortunately. But the fully traditional approach relies more on non-block defense than anything else. It's amazing to watch though.
great video after 30 seconds. Not bad choice of music as well :)
lol yeah Simon always does that, he's a very uncomfortable guy playing on the bench being unable to effect the outcome of the game
what about WL 2003 finals, Serbia vs. Brazil. I just watched that match... I think I will have to upload some parts to here :) Brazil won in 5... (16-25, 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 29-31)

poor alekseiv... he will never forget that moment. Cuba was hopeless... and then they received a gift.
I think your one of the wagner memorial cup (or whatever it was called) was better. But this is nice too. I think you like it more because Poland beat Russia :)

Thank you, the dead lion analogy was nice. I really don't like to see warmup hits in this video either..
pretty good..
they can't play because when you live in Cuba you are not allowed to leave the country. You certainly cannot go somewhere for half the year and then return. The only exceptions for leaving the country is if maybe you work for the government (ie. national volleyball team). Most people in Cuba are not even allowed to have access to the internet.

Marshall left his country to play in the Italian Leagues... well that might not be true actually, he may have left his country because he just needed to escape, and of course what is he going to do as a job other than volleyball.

This is why people aren't allowed to leave the country, even for vacation, because they wouldn't come back. There are many other Cuban's who have done this.

When the Cuban national team came here to play an exhibition series in Canada, do you think any of them were allowed to be on their own? They stayed as a team the entire time, not letting anyone out of site.

If Marshall has family in Cuba, which he probably does, he will never see them again unless something pretty drastic happens in Cuba. Same goes for all the other Cuban's who have left their country, there's more than just Marshall, Jauntorena, and Denis.

Btw, Marshall was on the national team in 2000 and went to the Olypmics. I don't know exactly when or how he left the country though. But usually it happens when the team plays a tournament in some other country, because there's no other time that the athletes are allowed to be out of their country.
