Seems the East Asian Games I created didn't take, or was removed. Dunno what's up with that

Damn, the East Asian Games logo looks like crap in dark mode. I'll work on that later. 

I think it's a bug about the image . I've had trouble adding them while creating a tournament recently.

Anyway, I created East Asian Games 2005 and put you in charge. Let me know if I did something wrong or can assist further.

As for the other one, it's too complicated for me right now ? 

@Sherlock @breakingice  Sourcelessness is a drag. I always try to post the awards from their source in a news item

The recent revamp of the awards section was meant to take into account the changing player position labels that resulted in OHs who couldn't pass a ball if their life depended on it winning “best receiver” award (because OH used to be thought of like that, I guess) and:

1. The awards given out by the League or FIVB, or whomever is the responsible organization (Award Winners)
2. Statistical winners (Player Positions)

But then there is that weird thing (at least) Japan does in honoring a “Best Six” with garnish for libero, fighting spirit, receiver, and fair play. 

@breakingice have a look at Japan 2020-21. For example, Jana Kulan was a “Best 6” (Award Winner) and was the League's Top Scorer (Player Positio/Statistical Winner). So she is there twice (as are a few others). I know why it's like that but now that you bring it up it might seem rigged or gamed to someone unfamiliar with the situation … without sources … So then look at the News Items

We really really need sources, and people interested in posting them

@PierreFoucault Ahh, it's all coming back to me now. We have been through this before. I guess we just clean it up at some point.

I hadn't thought about keeping a record of who was captain through the years, or a player's Captain Experience, but I'll second the motion for both of those. I have a secret way of knowing and displaying who the current captains are but I can't share it because it would destroy it for me ?

Okay, Changing it to “All Ages” allowed for adding the Club Team, and I can correct the National Teams from U18 to U19. Yea!

Still not sure about dating the tournaments

Do the players get points for being the MVP?

only half kidding. I just did that to  a truckload of logos that weren't playing nice with transparency against the dark mode background – like that little gif dude laughing above

@PierreFoucault I've seen it not work before. I think I even reported it once. I usually restart my browser when stuff like that happens. But you say it's been weeks/months that it's not working for you? 

@PierreFoucault  hmm, have a look. The slider worked for me 

@PierreFoucault  I've never been able to zoom the image smaller. Is that what you are talking about doing? I always “resize the canvas” to add padding so it fits. 

There are lots of reasons for the need to micro-manage rosters. Not being able to has created a ton of misinformation here. We've batted it around a few times. A solution seems out of reach. 

@PierreFoucault  Even when they work it's annoying to have to individually hit a little target. I used to sweep by to see which matches were going to delayed because of the one before it. Now I go to another site
  @Volleybox  why would it be so bad to have them fade in on a mouseover like the “added by” does?

For example: https://women.volleybox.net/prestige-international-aranmare-t6294/matches  . I can see and then click the current season arena icons but if I click on 2018/2019 I get nothing from the Arena Icon

@PierreFoucault  when they work, do you see “2021-02-20 22:30Arena icon" or “2021-02-20Arena icon"?

@PierreFoucault the problem with the “refresh page” workaround is the page always refreshes to the Final set of matches, so for example, if I want to see the 2nd Round here https://women.volleybox.net/women-japan-vleague-division-2-2020-21-o17129 I can't get to it via refresh.

@PierreFoucault  I just tried a bunch of random ones and none of them work. But then moments later they seem to be working. I tried that Kazan one and it works. Maybe @Volleybox is doing something. Now it's random.

I notice that, for example, the final match here https://women.volleybox.net/women-japan-vleague-division-1-2020-21-o15253/matches doesn't work, but if I refresh the page, the “time” (as 22:30 or something) disappears from the date and then the popup works and the arena is clickable

@PierreFoucault Thanks for your experienced dive into this. 

I'm just trying to improve the coverage of Chinese volleyball here. As mentioned, I'm in over my head and it's difficult to get straight forward info. I tackle these projects hoping a Chinese citizen/fan might notice it and decide to fix it and take up the mantle. That's how things seem to grow here: someone with a knowledge and passion takes it up.
