PAOK is celebrating the first title in its history in women's volleyball, as in the final of the Greek Women's Cup that was held at the closed municipal gym of A 'Ilioupolis, it prevailed with 3-0 sets of A.O. Θήρας.

In the first set, the difference was made by the mistakes of AO Thira as the typical home team gave 11 points as a gift to PAOK, while Dikefalos had only 3. Thus, the team of Takis Floros after the 2-1 with which AOTH was ahead took the lead and began to build a difference (5-8, 7-11).

AOT with Tsombanidou doing a terrible job in the net approached the point (10-11, 13-14) with the set being judged at 16-18 where Santorini lost the opportunity for a counter attack, PAOK escaped with 16-21 and took the set with 20-25.

In the second set there was more balance in the match as AOT reduced its mistakes to a minimum and the entry of Walla initially gave an offensive boost. The two teams alternated in the score until 14-13, where AO lost the opportunity to lead for the first time with +2 (Polynopoulou block in Dalka) for PAOK to run there a series of 0-8 (with consecutive blocks and counter attacks ). Papadopoulos exhausted the two time outs, Dalke got the change and the captain of AOT with consecutive points put her team back in the match as the score became 19-21!

There, however, Koumboura broke away from her team and immediately after, the bad reception of AOT brought the score to 19-23 to end the set with 21-25.

PAOK having the psychology at its height quickly escaped with 4-7 in the third set and although two mistakes of Potocar brought the balance again (9-9), Dikefalos never lost the lead at 14-15 with a new impressive series escaped with 14-19.

Santorini, however, had not said their last word and with an attack by Vlachaki and two aces from Wales, they reduced to one point (18-19) to reach their streak at 6-0 and lead 20-19! PAOK's answer came with the services of Polynopoulou that brought the score to 20-22, but with Potokar's out we had a new draw to reach 23-23.

Koumboura's attack was given out, Floros insisted on the cross and asked for a challenge and was justified with PAOK reaching a match bowl! And the final ended in the next phase when Dalke nailed the antenna with PAOK winning the title.
