@Kato I think the reason for that might be the following. Some users add players' new club directly to the “clubs” tab in players' profile page rather than adding the transfer to this page. So, transfers that are added with this method does not appear in this page. I don't know whether this is the exact reason or not but that is my observation. If it is the case, then in my opinion, all transfers should be displayed here regardless of the adding method.

@breakingice You're right. I gave 1.00 tournament rank to all 5 women's Olympic qualifications, same as the men's.

@breakingice You're welcome. I also noticed that in the men's side, the matches of the CEV Olympic Qualification 2016 are still on the The Olympics Qualifications 2016. Those matches and also the movies that are connected to the matches should be transferred to the European qualification tournament. I will fix it soon, tonight or tomorrow.

@breakingice I accepted your awards, corrected the tournaments standings for both European Olympic Qualification 2016 and The Olympics Qualifications 2016, re-added all of the matches and transferred all of the movies to the correct tournaments and removed the World Olympic Qualification 2016 tournament which would be the duplicate of The Olympics Qualifications 2016. It should be fine now.

@Volleybox That's perfect. ?? Thanks.

@Volleybox This alternative method does not work anymore. I don't know whether this type of situation ever happened in World Tour but it can happen in those 2-day long National tournaments. Moreover, in German Beach Trophy Tournaments that I recently added, the playoffs are in "best of 3" / “best of 5” format and at least two of those matches are played on same day. So is there any possibility to deactivate this validation check feature for Beach Volleybox?

For example there are 2 Betschart/Stubbe vs Aulenbrock/Ferger matches today and I can't add the second match. For the moment, I changed the date of 2nd match to tomorrow in order to be able to add the match but it's wrong. Also if each team win 1 match today, the 3rd match will be played and I won't be able to add it either)

@Volleybox Thanks for the explanation. As I understand there should be at least 24 hours between two matches because those two matches are not in same day. The first match, in Australian time, was on January 23rd 10:30 am and the second match was on the next day (January 24th) 8:15 am. (They are not in same day in my time zone as well)

Edit: I found a way to do it. You can add the match on different day (more than 24 hours apart) then edit its time. It works. Here is the example. (I will remove the duplicate match)

@Volleybox Although we can edit the partnerships now, there is still a weird bug in Beach Volleybox. I hope I can explain myself clearly here because this will be quite long.

First of all, there is one clear difference between the adding partnerships in Beach Volleybox and adding clubs in Men/Women Volleybox. Let's assume a player who have played for "Club A" for 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons. In indoor volleybox, if you add "Club A" to that player's clubs for 2016/17 season, then the information in his club profile became "Club A 2015/16-2017/18" like it should be. You can also remove one and edit the other's start/end dates and you're still absolutely fine. BUT in Beach Volleybox things are little bit different. If a partnership between two player has already established for let's say 2016 and 2018 seasons separately, then if you find out that they played together as well in 2017 season, you have to add another partnership for 2017 in order to be able to put them in a 2017 tournament.

Here is the problem: When you add 2017, the partnership will not automatically become 2016-2018 rather there are 3 different partnerships with same player appears in the page for 3 different seasons. (i.e. 2016-2016, 2017-2017 and 2018-2018 instead of one simple 2016-2018) So you have to remove one partnership (i.e. 2016-2016) and edit the start/end date of the other one in order to change it to 2016-2018. And that's the area things get interesting. When you remove the "2016-2016 partnership" and change "2018-2018" one to "2016-2018", although the partnership still exists in the classifications for 2016 tournaments which they've been already added, the points that those players gain from those tournaments vanish from their ranking points.

I noticed this months ago when I removed the 2011-2016 partnership between Anouk Verge Depre and Isabelle Forrer and changed 2010-2010 partnership to 2010-2016. The next day, after the ranking page was refreshed, Verge-Depre fell out of top 50 and Forrer fell out of top 100. I re-add them in every single tournament that is available in the database in which they participate together between 2011 and 2016 and restored their rankings. Since there were many mistakes in the partnerships' start and end dates in Beach Volleybox in the past, me and @PierreFoucault removed so many partnerships like that for so many players in order to consolidate their "partners" tab. I singlehandedly fix that issue for many players by re-adding them to tournaments but there is no way that I can remember every single change I made in their partners tab and certainly I can not know the changes that other users has done. Moreover, as we continue to add the past tournaments to the database I'm sure we will encounter similar "broken partnerships" which need to merge and same problem will occur once again.

But now, it seems to me that there is a possible solution for the problem thanks to "recently improved" rankings page that shows the details of the players' points. I noticed that for those players who have that partnership issue I mentioned above, the points in the ranking page is different than the points value which is shown in the details window. I give you the following example:

Earlier, the partnership between Heather Bansley and Brandie Wilkerson was set to "2017-still". Then, when I added the 2016 World Tour Finals tournament into database, I had to establish another partnership between them as I had already mentioned it in the first post of this topic (this was before the partnerships become editable, for "regular" users at least). Now as you can see from the images above, after merging this two partnerships by removing one of them and editing the other, the combined 30.10 points they gained from the tournaments are missing in both of them's ranking points but it's still available in the details window. So if we somehow can change the ranking points and make it equal to the points value that is shown in the details window, whole thing can be solved.

Also for the future I suggest the following: If there are separate partnerships with same player for let's say for 2012-2013 & 2015-2016 seasons and some user add another 2014-2014 partnership between them, then the partnership should become 2012-2016 and we will not struggle with this problem anymore.

@Volleybox I liked this new design, but I think it would be slightly better with “collapsable” medals section, like the one for the rosters. For players who played in many different leagues throughout their careers, the medals section can become too long and the “real" tournaments section, which is what some users are mainly looking for when they click the “tournaments” tab, can be way below in the page.

@Volleybox I was a bit late to this topic but same kind of thing is going on my profile too. There is a significant difference between the “team-tournament” numbers that are displayed under the "items" and on the points table.

Is it because the teams added to beach volleyball tournaments are counted in one and not counted in the other or is there another reason?

Beach Volleyball Awards vor 3 Jahre +2

@Volleybox That will be a better way to do it (also harder for you). When I made my suggestion, I was considering the options that need lesser effort from Admin. Since it's been already available for other Volleyboxes, I thought it can be implemented easily for Beach Volleybox.

Beach Volleyball Awards vor 3 Jahre 0

@Volleybox OK. I understand your concern about fake tournaments but that can't be called as a fake tournament it's like adding entire World Tour season as some sort of a league with start and end dates.

Also, I'm open for any other idea to make the seasonal awards possible.

@Sherlock Honestly, I didn't know the game as well, just encountered the video by pure luck.

question vor 3 Jahre +3

@brtkk Here is my opinion on this subject:

As you know in Turkish 2nd League, the top-4 finishers in both groups qualify for the semi-final stage and those 8 teams form 2 different semi-final groups. Teams who finish the semi-final groups in 1st and 2nd places, qualify for the final-group stage and only top-2 teams of the final group, are promoted to 1st League.

What we do in classification is that 4 Final-Group teams are ranked from 1st to 4th, according to the results of the final group. Then we rank other 4 teams that are eliminated in semi final stage from 5th to 8th with respect to their results in semi-final groups. 4 teams that are relagated to 3rd League, are ranked from 21st to 24th (in 24-team case). As for the other teams, they are ranked from 9th to 20th according to their regular season points. (Note: If there is a difference in number of matches between the 2 groups, "points per match" should be applied) Also important to note that sometimes the teams who are relagated in one group, win more points than the teams who survived from relegation in the other group. In that case, although they have more points, relegated teams should still be ranked lower (in the bottom-4 places).

All in all, I think the current status is better than the other case scenario (Creating 2 groups with 12 teams + 2 semi-final groups + 1 final group) Also, 4 teams who are qualified to final-group will appear in 3 different groups in one season and it will look weird in club's page. Creating only 2 groups will not work, because sometimes the promoted 2 teams come from same group.

Bug report vor 3 Jahre 0

@AirtonNeto It seems that award sections are gone out of control, mainly in the women's side. I corrected the Atlanta 1996 awards. Apart from the best spiker MVP, best setter, best blocker and best server, all of them were wrong but I didn't touch the other awards since I don't have a reliable source about best digger, best opposite, best receiver, best outside hitter. There are no such awards registered in the men's 1996 Olympics.

Bug report vor 3 Jahre +1

Oh OK. Thanks @Sherlock. Good to know.

Bug report vor 3 Jahre +2

My mistake. Also, as you can see there is no winner for 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons. The winner of those tounaments - Hawai and Lewis respectively - later were stripped of the title and vacated from the tournaments due to NCAA violations. I skipped the first place and add the other classifications for those seasons. It's not important but implementing a "disqualified" option could be better I think, at least more clear and understandable for the users who are looking at the tournament history .

Question vor 3 Jahre 0

Thanks.

Thanks @Sherlock, that will help.

@Volleybox Also I want to make a small addition to ranking point issue. The level of tournaments can vary from season to season (i.e. Porec, is a major event until 2017 and it became a 1-star event in 2018) It seems in current status, when we add a new edition of the tournament, the same coefficient ranking value are assigned automatically. That's also one of the reasons that I suggest a "star" option in the "new tournament edition" window.

I think that's all now. Thanks.
