Thailand - Japan (World Grand Prix 2013, full match)

Japan (the host of World Grand Prix Finals) without big problems won with Thailand in three sets. Friday’s match was the sixth time the two countries have met in the World Grand Prix. Of the previous five, Japan won three, Thailand two. In the last four World Grand Prix matches between Japan and Thailand, results have alternated. New captain Saori Kimura scored 16 points but it was 23-year-old Yukiko Ebata was best scorer for Japan with 20 points. Onuma Sittirak , superstar of Thailand national team scored 12 points in that match. Japan’s captain Saori Kimura commented: "We have new players in our team. I wasn’t expecting this would be an easy game. But it was an easy game. We wanted to win and we won. I’m very happy to win the first match 3:0".
