Brazil Women's National Team

History of one of the best Women national teams in 5 minutes. Since José Roberto Guimarães’ appointment in 2003, Brazil have won six of their nine gold medals (2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2013) and silver three times (2010, 2011, 2012) at the World Grand Prix. In their long quest for Olympic gold, Brazil only captured its first gold medal in Beijing 2008 and their second in London 2012. Brazil are also consistent finalists at World and Continental Championships. In the World Grand Champions Cup, Brazil proudly carry a rich history and a solid lineup composed of experienced and young players. Even without the majority of their big names on board, Brazil continue to impress with powerful combination of athletes who astoundingly rise up to the occasion and assure of a long-lasting, bright future for the team.
