@Eylull i'm less and less convinced by Cansu Ozbay this year ; she played a poor VNL and i can't understand why , this week, Buse didn't play more . I know that Guidetti will travel to Tokyo with Naz and Ozbay but i wonder if it's the best choice .You know from a precedent post that i liked very much the season played by Buse Unal with Nilufer ; she's a great player 

@byruss because Guidetti cares vakıf more than national team. All he cares is vakıf. he tries to make cansu better with this tournament. He is so obsessed with the players who refused him. Buse refused vakıfbank this year and signed with Fener. Naz is same too, when she came to Fener, she became the 2nd setter of national team. Guidetti cares Vakıf, not national team. 

@Eylull This so true. I thought im the only one who noticed that he is using the national team to expose his Vakifbank girls to competetion.

@Eylull to present it this way is a bit of an exaggeration because he does a lot for young Turkish players. Canzu Ozbay disappoints me, she is too excited for a role of setter now she's no more a beginner, she looses too much energy while she could think more about her attack game too much based on opposite .Turkish attack game is less varied and you play with two outside hitters very complete but not most powerful , you need a smart attack game like two years ago

@byruss Guidetti did something about Cansu bcuz Cansu is vakıf’s player. Cansu doesn’t play with her %100 version nowadays, tbh that‘s my opninion even her %100 in not enough to play as 1st setter of national team.  As u said Buse is a good player but we couldn’t see her on the court a lot. Isn’t it clear enough? 

@byruss and also her set system is kinda basic, not like modern volleyball. I mean she is not fast setter. She cannot make the rival players confused. rival middle blockers can go the true side on time. she is like russian system setter, high and slow ball. In Turkish leauge only 3 forgein player can be on the court at the same time so Guidetti is trying to create a Turkish setter to play with 3 forgein hitter ( in this generation there is no soo powerfull hitter maybe Ebrar and İlkin but they are not Vakıf’s players, if u watched u saw Gui started the tournament with Meryem who is the new transfer of Vakıf ? then he continued with Ebrar because he had to bcuz Meryem was totally afwul. so forgein hitter is an advantage) sooooo as i said Gio tries to make vakıf players better in the national team and i think it is not ethical.

@Eylull i know what you write ( Gulubay back in Vakif, rules of foreign players ……) and i agree with you but there are many excellent setters in turkey (more than any other countries) so there are others choises possible .I'm not turkish but i follow your chmpionship. Who will be the next coch of turkey , i like Dehrioglu, but it could be Akbas, or Soz or Hamurcu ?

@byruss I really like Dehri but there are some rumors that he was fired from his job in the national team bcuz of a an argument with a player ( he was 2nd team’a head coach, 2nd team stayed in İstanbul during the vnl ) so he cannot be, Akbaş also he cannot be, we couldn’t go to Rio Olympics bcuz pf his wrong decisions. Hamurcu thb i don’t like him as a coach. Maybe Santarelli would be good for us, he works for Croatia but Turkey races in the better tournaments so why not

@MariadaSilva I don't know where is her next destination but she won't be part of Galatasaray. They got Anthi and they already have 3 foreigners in the team 

@crforvoll She's a top level player, I don't know why is she playing for lower level teams. She can play in every team she desires and she picks Galatasaray. I wish she stayed in Eczacibasi VitrA

@MariadaSilva She had to pick Galatasaray actually. There were some problems with the visa at the last minute and that's why she couldn't go to china. Galatasaray was the only option for her. I agree she is a top level player but she is getting old. Priority of teams like Eczaci, Imoco, Vakif,Novara or Fenerbahce is mostly getting younger&talented players to secure future of the teams. They can't count on the performance of older&experienced players in long term 

@MariadaSilva I think she probably will join a chinese team again. Maybe it is still Shandong, as she did not get in last season because of the COVID policy. 

@crforvoll I didn't knew that she had to pick Galatasaray. I think Eczacibasi is getting weaker idk, their level of play and level of players isn't like past few years.

@MariadaSilva Well, I agree. I can't forget the times Adams,Larson,Thaisa,Maja played together.. Especially last season was terrible for Eczaci. I think next season will be better but I am not sure if it is going to be like 4 years ago or so. They need a good setter. Maja is great with amazing career but she is not the same Maja anymore but still, better than Mirkovic :) Adams and Heyrman had great season in Italy and I think if they play at the same level the season will be better for Eczaci compared to last season. They have a new coach now so we need to wait until season start. I hope there will be great matches against Vakif, Fenerbahce,Thy.. 

@crforvoll Eczacibasi needs top level player to play along with Tijana Bošković. Last season she was the only one who was scoring points. The only problem Eczacibasi has is that they are finding foreign players to play, they need more better turkish players

@MariadaSilva  Yeah, you got a point. Covid-19 also affect the players but Boskovic always do what she has to do in every condition unlike other players. Hande played great in national team last year but she couldn't show the same performans in Eczaci. Other outside hitters as well.I think coach is also one of the reason. I don't think Marco was keeping up with the new system of volleyball. New coach, new season! We'll see how it goes

@MariadaSilva Sorry Maria but Kosheleva can't pretend a top team as outside hitter . She's unable to receive and she doesn't cover post 6 well in the back row.  She's a kind or Russian player whostill don't understand that as outside hitter it's not enough to be powerful .The young generation Federovsteva, Smirnova, and later Gatina or Shevchuk will be better , more complete .And sorry but you don't convince me that Stysiak is better than Van Hecke. Stysiak is very powerful but has a lot of waste in attack game at the moment .

@Eylull Not explicitly her whole career. She's for sure ending her international career. She's taking a break from playing in club, but she said she hasn't decided if she'll return afterwards. (She may give beach volleyball a go, she was very successful in NCAA beach volleyball)

@IslamOguzTuncay completly agree with you   .it's a very strange choice! to have a balanced team . But Monza don't do a great mercato in my opinion Orthman, Heyrman, Begic ….  . Perhaps they want to play with two opposite and only Gennari as receiver …..

@byruss With Branika Mihajlovic, Katarina Lazović, Katerina Zackhaiou, Alessia Gennari and Magdalena Stysiak, Monza have done a great team indeed… Actually Van Hecke situation is really fluid: is not clear if she stay in the bench or will be traded…

@Sentenza69 Brankica Mihajlovic had the worst season ever in Fenerbahçe. Even Busa killed more ball than Branki. I think Monza knows that. Branki is a good player normally but if she keeps going to play like that they can use Stysiak as a outside hitter. It’s something like Plan B. 

@Eylull you're right: this year Branki had the worst season in years… I think the summer olympics will be a real turn point to understand if she will be able to return to her usual (and high) level of play. Talking about Van Hecke, I'm not sure that she would stay in Monza, knowing she is a “Plan B” option… 

@Eylull Brankica Mihajlović was always better in her national team. Every club season she is getting worse and worse, and when national team comes she's a star again.

@Sentenza69 Magdalena Stysiak is way better opposite than Lise Van Hecke. That is my opinion.

@MariadaSilva yes, Fenerbahçe transfered her as last national europa turnament’s best hitter. She was horrible. She made us sad, we couldn’t be champ cuz of her, i hope she cannot be good again.

@Ties I think Jordan Thompson could potentially be a better hitter than Megan. I am unsure how Conegliano balance their Left and right side hitter ration if they have Courtney and Sylla + Egonu. I think Courtney will take up the receiving outside while someone will need to do the heavy lifting after Egonu.

@Ties In my opinion Courtney ia a smarter choice  , because Imoco needs a very strong receiver . In the last world club championship Santarelli substituted Sylla by Geerties and in the last Champions league final he substituted Sylla by Adams. Without Hill, the team can't play with Sylla- Thomson or Sylla- Plummer  Thomson or Plummer are weak receivers.

@byruss so you think it will be sylla-Courtney. I think the team will need a strong Thirth Outside hitter, because mostly sylla is very unpredictable and doesn’t always play well. Who do you think that could be?

@Ties They could scoop up inexpensive local players or some EU players. IDK who can they pick from but the best place to start with is with Italy's Club Italia Roma.

@JohnSuen I think they will need a good and experienced player who can somethimes replace sylla or courtney. Someone like sorokaite or lucia bosetti

@Ties I would have liked to watch the fantastic Arina Fedorovsteva in Conegliano with Santarelli . I don't understand really well why Imoco let Adams go ; she's a good receiver and her conection on the fast balls on the wing with Wolosz are great. Lucia Bossetti has signed with UYBA but it would  be a good choice i agree with you for the back row. Ismailoglu would  also have been  a good choice in my opinion but she goes back to Fenerbahce .Conegliano could also have tried to bring Robinson or Bricio back.

@Ties jt was horrible as a outside hitter. nobody wants her. In Turkey i could watch her carefully and she is bad as oh. She should play opposite but imoco doesn’t need a opposite, they have Egonu :) in the close future it jt-imoco thing looks impossible.

@Ties I think Eczaci is going to switch Thompson back to opposite this year to help Boskovic. She barely played this season because she's a bad receiver and didn't improve at all. I agree with @byruss Courtney is a good choice for Conegliano, with her and Moki they basically have two top-tier liberos on the back row so they won't need Sylla to receive or defend. And as a Fenerbahce fan I'm happy that we got to Fedorovsteva and Ismailoglu before Conegliano :)

@IslamOguzTuncay yeah but I think imoco needs another good oh so they wil have 3 top class hitters + omuruyi. Like they had with sylla, Hill and Adams/Sorokaite/Geerties. So the third oh can replace sylla sometimes if She’s under pressure.

@Ties Oh yeah, that's a good point. Although I don't think it'd make that much of a difference with Egonu there, but maybe Plummer could be a good addition if the rumors are true.

@VolleyTurco Honestly, Eczacibasi could do better this year in Champions League, and THY will be so bad, they will not enter quaterfinals.
