Meet the European team of the last decade

The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) chose the ideal team of the last decade (2011-2020). The organization selected four specialists and they chose one player per position. 

For men, the “voters” were coaches Vital Heynen and Philippe Blain, former player Andrea Zorzi and commentator James Fielden. The quartet elected the following selection: 

Lifter: Toniutti (FRA) Opposite: Mikhaylov (RUS) Tips: Leon (POL) and Juantorena (ITA) Central: Muserskiy (RUS) and Nowakowski (POL) Libero: Grebennikov (FRA).

In the women's team, in addition to CEV commentator James Fielden, the technicians responsible for the choice were coaches Giovanni Guidetti, Svetlana Ilic and Gert Van de Broek. Setter: Ognjenovic (SER) Opposite: Boskovic (SER) Tips: Gozde (TUR) and Piccinini (ITA) Central: Rasic (SER) and Poljak (CRO) Libero: De Gennaro (ITA).
