European champion: Russia won 3:1 (25:14, 22:25, 25:22, 25:15) over the Dominican Republic in their World Grand Champions Cup round-robin match on Wednesday. Victoriia Chaplina was best scorer of game with 19 points for Russia national team. Iury Marichev (caoch of Russia) on the press conference said: "This tournament is more difficult than the European Championships. We have tough games here. As a team we only had four practices together, so there was not enough time for the attackers and setters to work together. We had 21 blocks in the match tonight, so I am very happy about this"
