May Deco VB Logroño - A giant's goodbye

May Deco VB Logroño is an intriguing case in volleyball. The sovereign team in the last seasons in Spanish volleyball, won 18 of the last 20 disputed titles. What to expect for the season 20/21? Surprisingly goodbye to competitions.

The team will not participate in the next championships. The president cited several reasons for not enrolling the team in the championship: the way of the Spanish Federation treated categories differently, the lack of decision for the 19/20 season that ended but without knowing if there would be a champion in the season, the participation of the local press that gives little time in the media for the category. 

The team president announced this news during a press conference today (8th June).

These are the achievements of May Deco VB Logroño:

6x Liga Iberdrola (Spanish League)

6x Copa de la Reina (Spanish Cup)

6x Supercopa ( Spanish Supercup)
