USA - Brazil (short cut)

United States took another gold medal in the same day. After the one in the World Grand Prix 2015 after beating Brazil, the other American team also defeated Brazil 3:0 (25:22, 25:21, 28:26) in the finals of the Pan American games in Toronto. It was the second gold medal for the United States in the history of the Pan American Games in women’s competition with the other taken also in Canada, in 1967 when the games took place in Winnipeg. Nicole Fawcett scored 21 points as the most efficient scorer for the winners. Krista Vansant added 11 points.
