MVP of match POL-ITA no doubt the white-red crowd, whatever the game will turn out.
Colorful, passionate and loudy, VERY loudy. They exacly show their feelings in rooting the national team, with an unique fair play behaviour even after opponents' complains and mistakes from referees. My personal congrats to you all, you're the true representation of what this sport is.
My congrats also to Polsat which, even if I don't understand a single word, offers an awesome broadcasting service who we Italians can only dream.
An Italian supporter.
Via Casa Modena. He preferred Verona to have chance of playing more under suggestion of the many US players who started their professional careers in Verona coming from NCAA.
@Jimbo: Bruno has still 2 year contract so he will play here for sure. Lucas has been contacted but finally renwed contract with SESI Sao Paulo. I think Vettori will be a good surprise in the next seasons. In Modena he will find the right tools to perform very good. Fist, probably the best coach in Italy being able to work with young players and make them improve. Second, a team leader and out-class setter like Bruno will ease his work as an attacker giving him more confidence.
@handan: Yes, forgot to mention the concrete reason he's currently out of national team is because of that. Then he's able to have spare time to face his legal problems right now.
@tele: What @Jimbo says it's true. Modena is in negotiation with Sander as N'gapeth is under justice issues in his country after an aggression during a party, and currently he may risk not to play for the most of the next season.
His legal status is being discussed in these days, as you can see, he's not playing World League despite being in roster of France. If everything will turn out well, Sander is likely to be hired anyway and given out on loan somewhere.
@Joachim7: This year he was pretty bad in reception. We needed to change the player very often because of that, but more than everything, like I said, it was his apparent negative attitude and motivation the main reasons of his fail. It seemed like he did not understand that for a player it's not only a game, but it's a work. At work you are required to do your best even if you're not fully in shape, don't you? Well, he appeared to give up on difficulties. with no wish to react. And the coach then was not able to wait more. But me too I think he's great and needs a good team to play for. Verona is expected to be in the top 5-6 teams in the league, so this could be a good chance for him to get confidence. Sander is going to be hired because N'gapeth is involved in a judicial process (aggression) and may not play for the most of next season, if he won't be discharged. About CL, I personally am waiting for Modena since I was a kid and hope we'll play it in next season.
Next year Italy will have only 2 teams in the competition. A runner-up for Piacenza will come from a CEV wild card.
@Joachim7: Thanks for your kind words. We definitely found more than a gold mine: a stable club president. On last years we had different presidents who came in just to avoid the glorious history of volleyball in Modena to disappear as many other italian clubs. Most of them intended to last one year only by investing very low budgets for the team to just survive. Current one is economically solid and wants to stay for some time to compete for the title. Situation about Deroo is very weird. First season here was impressive but last year he made more than just a few steps back from his average level. Maybe lack of feeling with team mates, he often showed to play with very low motivation. Coach (who has always appreciated him) also tried to give some tips but with nearly no results. For this reason (and because of it was a good deal) a more reliable spiker as N'Gapeth was hired on January, placing Deroo on the bench since then. Except a few games, his statistics are pretty self explanating

Casa Modena close to sign american NT spiker Taylor Lee Sander. Libero Loris Manià officially in Andreoli Latina. Sam Deroo negotiating with Calzedonia Verona.
Manià was the first (and currently onliest) libero's choice for Macerata in order to hire Sokolov. Now it's almost sure the bulgarian will play outside Italy, maybe Turkey or Korea as of last rumors.
Current situation about Robertlandy Simon. Please take a breath before reading:
- Fakel and Novosibirsk presented official offers. Fakel's one amount is unknown, the second is oscillating between 300-500 thousand euros/year for three years, to be discussed after first agreement.
- A non specified club from South Korean V-League on yesterday sent his manager and assistants to Piacenza to discuss a possible (hard-to-reject) two-year contract for astronomic amount of about 500k to the club and overall $2.3 million to the player.
Local press agrees http://www.sportpiacenza.it/volley/notizie.asp?n=82480&l=0
@martiao: No, the source is official. I just was updated on yesterday evening for the last time and things turned totally opposite on today. Unusual, but in transfers sometimes may happen?
@zver: Yes, It was a last-second player decision. There were also apologizes from his procurator to Perugia. At very last, but I honestly think this was and is the best choice for him especially because a huge offer does not always mean a better team and a better place to play. Happy for skra fans, he's a very good player with a success future ahead. And also happy because he will not strenghten Perugia additionally.
@martiao: For me it's cute how you perfecty missed the point of my words. Who said skra is poor club? Ever thought skra has different plans? Or it's player's choice? Or Grbic call? Or an offer impossible to reject? Team making does not fully depend on club budget.
And no, i'm not shoked because I get facts through a real procurator.
Anyway keep your mind and I'll keep mine and we will see.
Ah, on today Perugia's press "I due centrali sono il riconfermato Buti e il serbo Srecko Lisinac, praticamente già preso dalle file del Berlino" literally "The two blokers will be the re-confirmed Buti and the serbian Srecko Lisinac, pratically already hired from Berlin team"

@zver: In event of a proper economical proposal a player under contract can be released at any time. Perugia has no money problems and was negotiating for the full player card. I bet they close the deal as there are no other hot names.
@Wilfredo_is_Marshall:
There's none at moment but:
1) Perugia hired Maruotti to replace Vujevic in the S6 and (mostly) open a place for a foreign in the S6.
2) One italian middle-blocker between Barone and Semenzato isn't going to be confirmed (and both had 1-yr contract) requiring the hire of a new MB.
3) Rumors on Lisinac are many weeks old, still actual and confirmed by press.
4) No other MBs than him have been contacted so far
5) Have my official non-public own sources
P.S. Worth to say there is no official info about that as player has currently been only optioned or "reserved" by Perugia. One blocker need to leave before announcing officially.
Enough? ?
@Qyss: Player was just loaned from Monza. One-year loan expired and was not confirmed, so he'll going back. Not a "real" transfer, then.
Christian Fromm from Città di Castello to SIR Safety Perugia. Official.
Srećko Lisinac from BR Recycling Volleys Berlin via SKRA Bełchatów to SIR Safety Perugia.Official.
Danail Milushev from Spacer's Toulouse Volley-Ball to 東京FC Tokyo Gas(JPN).Official.
Will post other ones soon ?
Italy NT libero Salvatore Rossini from Andreoli Latina to Casa Modena.Official.
@alessandro34: They have an ambitious president with no fear to spend and A LOT of money to invest for the team. That's all.
What a news! Nikola Grbic is the new coach of Sir Safety Perugia. Totally unexpected!
