number 1 could have easily got to that ball if he was in the mindset of not letting the ball hit the floor. I guess he thought the guy in front of him would grab it, I don't know. but you always have to be on your toes in volleyball and never pretend like the ball won't be coming to where you need to get it.

title of the movie should be "lazy defense".

I was watching the italian league finals, it looks like they have the same 5 replay views every time someone scores from a hit.

it shouldn't count as a 'second metre spike' when its hit cross court. But still, this was a nice hit, not because of where it landed, but because its on transition where he had almost no approach, and was still able to put a nice angle on the ball and get a kill.

Oli they don't actually have the choice to leave, or they would have left already. For them to somehow escape to Russia or Italy means they will never be allowed to see their family again. Is it really worth it?

I don't know why you show scenes like the one at 20 seconds though, as if it was a well placed ball, but really its just because some of the best teams in the world don't need to have players who can hit the floor easily when they need to, and I think that's a little disappointing. That ball would never drop if this were China vs Japan. So I don't think the ball was very well placed, its simply bad defense on Zenit's part, at least 2 players could have grabbed that ball absolutely no problem if they were on their toes and ready to dive for it. Everytime I see a play like that in professional volleyball I want to bang my head against a wall because i'd never in my life let that ball drop to the floor.. Anyways, great video otherwise! :)

anyway I like the play very much. It was a nice dig, maybe a little lucky, and they used it properly. Just the actual hit itself is far from impressive, and has nothing to do with why I like this play.

kk15, you're saying thats impressive because he didn't get a proper approach? This is probably one of the easiest things ive ever seen a volleyball player do in my life. Its good that he was there for his setter though, and the setter made a good choice to set him. See an inexperienced player would probably just get out of the way of the setter, but he saw he could still be there for to help in the offense. But otherwise, I don't see how this is an impressive 3rd meter spike.
