Brazil - Japan (full match)

Brazil won with Japan 3:1 (21:25, 25:21, 25:17, 27:25) in Group A of the World Grand Prix at the Huamark Indoor Stadium on Friday. Gabi and Fe Garay led Brazil with 16 points each, while their team-mates Juciely, Carol and Joyce also managed to score in double figures. Miyu Nagaoka scored 15 points, followed by Haruyo Shimamura with 14 points for Japan. On the press conference, Brazil coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes said: "Every time we play against Japan, it is always tough. They served very well in this match. In the first set, they controlled the game; and in the second and third sets, we changed a little bit because we were more relaxed and our middle blocker played very well. Of course, I am very happy with the result".
